People from near and far flooding Penang just to savour the good hawker foods and visit the heritage cafes. We stumbled on another new spot (not so new to Penangites) to check out. Coffee Affairs served freshly roast specialty coffee beans from different countries and delicious assorted pastries. The cafe offers brewing classes and purchase of brewing equipment.
Looking for homemade cupcakes, macarons, sweet delicacies or brunch, La Vanille is where you should be. The cafe is located at Hutton Lane, walking distance from Secawan ‘n’ such and New World Park food court. Look for the turquoise rabbit or shop if you are having trouble looking for the shop. The coziness of the cafe was build up by the owner with a mixture of inspired culture and lifestyle thru her experiences travelling around the world. The delectable macarons from Paris was the main inspiration for her to start up La Vanille. The interior was build up with wooden furnitures and decoratives. Every single corner was specially design with its own taste and feeling. A great place for gatherings and catch up sessions.
From Dubu-Dubu Korean Urban Food and now another Korean hype hitting town is the famous Bingsu from Caffe Bene. A popular korean snack composed of ice shaving paired together with sweetened condensed milk, fruit syrup/ flavoured syrup and their famous sweetened azuki beans. Caffe Bene is located on Ground Floor of Gurney Paragon Mall, beside Edo Ramen and Ben’s. Decorated in wooden style and unique dim lights definitely sets the place to be more comfortable and relaxing.
On a hot day, one can opt to crush some ice with their famous Bingsu,quench your thirst with their dessert or drinks in the menu. Although it was a weekend, Caffe Bene try their best to keep the queue short despite the many people that they need to accommodate. Credits goes to the efficiency of the workers.
