There are four mains to choose from :
Penang’s night scene is saturated with night clubs and pubs which largely includes binge drinking and vomiting your guts out the day after, at least for teens and young adults these days. We do not endorse such lifestyle and much prefer to just lounge somewhere without feeling the vibrations of loud music on our skin. Tree Bar is one of G Hotel’s baby which was launched not too long ago. It is in close proximity to the backdoor of G hotel, right next to Chilli’s.
Tree Bar is named so because the bar is designed to encircle this big rain tree with the species name “Albizia Saman”. It was intentionally built around it because good environmentalists from G hotel decided that it is a pity to cut off this beautiful 80 year old tree. We sure glad that they kept they tree because it adds so much character and uniqueness to the place. It looks absolutely chill and serene with its dimmed lights and hanging decor at night, simply gorgeous!
We love Tree Bar for many reasons. Apart from its tasteful lounge music, the food was what stood out for us. Most food from bars and pubs leave a bad if not horrible impression I believe, and Tree Bar completely elevates the idea of bar food to something that is not just edible, but sophisticated and good. They offer a myriad of bites and fillers which are priced from RM16++ onwards, which we thought was very reasonable for the quality of food they serve.
If you are looking for a homemade and delicious salmon steak, Ceylone House should be the place to be. So it was thru Groupon that we first heard about this place. Located at Lorong Ceylone, a road away from Secawan ‘n’ such and New World Park away from the busy roads in Georgetown city. Maintaining the classic traditional wooden windows and door reminded me of the olden generation houses back in the 80s’. Glide thru the walls with a coat of white paint and decorated flowers, the refurbished cafe looks brand new and homey. With the soothing sound of the radio FM playing while dining has definitely made us ponder on how things have slowly transform from the 80s’ to 90s. The new era of technology replacing the old and etc. Nevertheless, we both enjoyed our quiet time here.

We were already running late, missed our lunch, hence we were thankful we found this place SUSHI ZENTO. It was also near their closing hours when we arrive at 245pm, but we were greeted with the warm smile from the employees in the restaurant. Assisting us to our seats and making sure that we have ample of time to decide on our late lunch before coming over to take our orders. However, the Kaiten belt has already stop operating when we reach.
Located in Precinct 10, Tanjung Tokong, Sushi Zento shares the same company with Azuma, Queensbay Mall and Edo Ichi, Island Plaza serving Japanese food. I like how each restaurants has their own unique BEST SELLING DISHES. Sushi Zento, serves pork (NON HALAL RESTAURANT) but the rest don’t. The restaurant has two main areas, the outdoor faces the happening Precinct 10 party while the indoor has the view of the chef on the counter slicing your tasty sashimi and the selection of sushis from the Kaiten belt.
