Being born in the land of hawker’s paradise definitely sets my expectation higher. Hopping from one corner of the island to the other to seek for the best hokkien mee. Some may argue, there are better Hokkien Mee in KL or Ipoh has the best Chee Cheung Fun. But you can never go wrong when it comes to the authentic taste and originality of the hawker’s food, it would be Penang Hokkien Mee and Laksa. Wu Jia Zhuang at Jalan Siam outshine the others by serving the hokkien noodles in the claypot. This way, the soup will be preserved warm until one finishes the entire bowl of noodles and wiping it up to the last drop. Also in the list of their menu, Wu Jia Zhuang also serves some local favourites chu char catering for those who prefer to have fried vegetables or steam fish with rice. It definitely gave me the impression of healthy and light meal. Good news is, they served their chu char and hokkien noodles all day from 10am – 9:30pm. Their chu char will be next on our list
