From Dubu-Dubu Korean Urban Food and now another Korean hype hitting town is the famous Bingsu from Caffe Bene. A popular korean snack composed of ice shaving paired together with sweetened condensed milk, fruit syrup/ flavoured syrup and their famous sweetened azuki beans. Caffe Bene is located on Ground Floor of Gurney Paragon Mall, beside Edo Ramen and Ben’s. Decorated in wooden style and unique dim lights definitely sets the place to be more comfortable and relaxing.
On a hot day, one can opt to crush some ice with their famous Bingsu, quench your thirst with their dessert or drinks in the menu. Although it was a weekend, Caffe Bene try their best to keep the queue short despite the many people that they need to accommodate. Credits goes to the efficiency of the workers.
Dubu dubu, also means tofu in korean. May it be Korean-KPOP to Korean Kimchi or Korean Running Man, the hype has not gone down. Expanding from Kuala Lumpur, Dubu dubu Urban Korean Food was brought to Gurney Paragon Mall and officially opened its door to the public on 5th Sept With this new addition, we now have more korean food option to choose from. Located at the basement of the mall taking up one corner a few steps from the escalator from Victoria Secret/ Ben’s or H&M. With a simple interior, the large space is able to accommodate large groups and gatherings.
Another point of emphasize especially to my fellow Muslim friends, this restaurant is chopped HALAL.
We started our Korean foodie adventure in Daorae Korean BBQ, and i instantly fell in love with their Soon-Dubu Jigae. It became a MUST HAVE on the table when i’m in any Korean restaurant. I must say, most of the korean food is exceptionally healthy. Using ingredients like tofu, bean paste, chillis, fermented vegetables cooked with tasteful broth and distinct spicy flavour. So why wait! Drop by and try it on your own!
Coffee Smith is the new talk of the town located at Maritime Piazza along Karpal Singh Drive/ Jelutong Promenade. Coffee Smith is a franchise restaurant from Taiwan, serving their famous Artisan coffee and western-italian food. The industrial themed interior design is definitely on of the star factors. I love the concrete finishings and the “tong” converted arm chairs. My fellow Instagrammers out there, here is a place with much photo ops! Be it the vintage telephones, the 3D painted clock tower or the assorted old school light bulbs. The press ad styled menu is a nice finishing touch. Two thumbs up for the food plating as well
Coffee Smith’s MUST TRY would be the Artisan coffee (picture below). I confess that I have this habit of ordering coffee black and then shyly going back to request for a cup of milk. Just because they can never get the RIGHT combination! With Artisan coffee, I now have the luxury of my own version of the perfect coffee. The first small yellow cup is the espresso, the larger cup in the middle would be the center of attention black coffee. Finally you get a mini jug of milk. Be it a latte, cappuccino or an espresso, mix and taste away!

Weekend again! We decided to date each other again, along Beach Street for tea time. I heard my friends talking about this Twelve Cups but we have never been able to find time to go. To cut the story short. We came!
What impresses me most is the overall environment, is just LOVELY. Since is Tea, we each order a crepe and shared a cup of smoothie.
