Black Kettle Cafe @ Beach Street, Georgetown, Penang

Hopping from one cafe to another had became a trend in Penang. Not sure which to choose? You would probably want to add Black Kettle to your list. Located along Beach Street, parallel to Chulia Street serving a variety of English style bread loaves and a list of brunch items to choose for dine in. Highly recommended is their freshly baked croissants and bread loaves. We are lucky to be able to catch the head chef in action carrying tray after tray of freshly made loaves hot out of the oven. Tempting us to grab a loaf of their poppy seed flavour home with us.

Unlike other cafes, Black Kettle is spacious and elegantly design. The interior is design different in every section, there is a corner with greens and natural sunlight and the cozy couch with white arch design. The bakery and order counter is located at the front of shop, where the customers are given an ample of space to have their on private conversation comfortably.

Pacific Coffee Company @ Gurney Paragon, Georgetown, Penang

Twas a fruitful weekend! As many of you know, we usually spend our weekends eating, blogging and venturing around places. This week we did something extra- we helped my brother with some wedding banquet research. *excited* yay!!! We went to GHotel, Gurney Hotel for the bridal shows and stop by a few hotels to scour the best prices.

Before the long day, though, we needed to fill up our hungry tummies.

Most of the shops in Paragon don’t serve breakfast, so we came upon Pacific Coffee Company. We have to admit, we never knew they serve breakfast- so chancing upon their breakfast sets definitely serves as a pleasant surprise! :) To add on, the portions are also reasonable and filling too!

Ficelle Boulangerie Patisserie @ Taman Danau Desa, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor

It was a long weekend, so we made a trip down to KL. We were supposed to cover Melaka’s famous Jonker Street as part of our agenda but due to some unforeseen circurmstances, we had to give it a pass for now.

Our disappointment did not last long as we went on a food hunt around KL instead; I would gladly say that it was a satisfying hunt indeed.

We went to Ficelle in Taman Danau Desa near Kuchai Lama for breakfast. It was my second time there and we ordered their breakfast set  which comes with a complimentary coffee/ tea.
