Something brand new in town – Fooyo fried fresh fruit ice cream. It was the second time we visited this place. Hence we were given one free yogurt upon ordering one fried ice-cream. How unique. Fried ice-cream. Curious? Is not like those ice-cream inside fried bun. They actually cut the fresh fruit and mixed it with some milk and then fry it on the pancake pan. Instead of using, 40-50 C, they use -1/-2 C to harden the milk and fillings. And less than a few minutes, the contents harden and it is scrapped up into a roll.
Ric’s Burger, previously known as Oink Oink Burger, is famed for their pork burgers! They serve nothing but their specialty pork burger. The restaurant was recently opened about half a year ago and this is actually our fourth time dining there.
To some of you, Ric’s is not unfamiliar as they have been operating in Pasar Malams (Night Markets) around Penang for quite some time before they decide to settle down in this humble shop.
What’s on the menu :

The long-awaited weekend finally arrived!!! We decided to go for food hunting since my sisters will be back for the holiday! Yay! This also means more yummy for our tummy.
Mugshot cafe is in their to-go-list so here we are! Their speciality is Sesame Bagel; it comes with several variations: Cream Cheese, Cream Cheese and Smoked Salmon, Bacon and Egg, Turkey Ham with Cranberry Sauce, Cornbeef and Rocket. Take your pick!
To go with our meal, we ordered hot chocolate and brewed americano.
We were craving for some Dim Sum so we sought out Tai Tong Restaurant in town. For those who are unfamiliar, Dim Sum is Cantonese food prepared as small bite-sized or individual portions of food traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on small plates, as shown in the pictures below. The restaurant also serve a variety of stir-fry dishes, more commonly known as Tze Char among the locals from noon onwards.
After arriving at around 7.30 am, we ordered our usual pot of tea( Kok Pou ). A Dim Sum dolly immediately came over with the Dim Sum trolley (it rhymes!) and we managed to find our favourites among the multiple baskets. If you haven’t got your fill of Dim Sum after the meal, fret not; you can always grab more when the trolley passes by.
Recently I was assigned a task to take some pictures of PhotonLife for their latest deal in Groupon Malaysia: 2-hour Edelweiss Facial with Firming & Lifting Laser Treatment + Eye Bag Machine Treatment + More for 1 (RM25) / 2 (RM38) People.
