It was 7.00 am when we arrived at IJM Jelutong Promenade, our newly found space for some morning exercise and sunrise photography sessions. From our previous encounters, we know roughly the time the early morning sunlight shines through the blue sky (~ 7.20am).
To be able to enjoy the Penang skyline during sunrise was an amazing inspiration and refreshing phenomenon. It was a wow moment for us as the early morning breeze hit us, leaving us shivering in our thinly clad bodies. But to see the change in the colour of the sky within seconds was even more astonishing.

Ubah bird is the official mascot of the DAP which resembles a hornbill. DAP had adopted this bird as a symbol for change both for its unique characteristics, hardiness and representation of the unity of both East Malaysia and West Malaysia into a Malaysian nation. The name “Ubah”, which means “change” in Malay, is in line with the party’s aspirations in changing the ruling party of the Malaysian federal government.
On July 13, 2013, a gigantic float known as the “Ubah Inflatable Bird (Water Ubah)” was officially launched at IJM Promenade, Jelutong, Penang by DAP Secretary General Lim Guan Eng. On a more global scale, you have the famous giant rubber duck in Hong Kong.
