Heavy instagram users beware! The following shows some food pictures which are overly posted on instagram. For those who have yet to follow us on Instagram or any other penangite, this is a treat for your eyes.
Macallum Connoisseurs is one of the newest brunch/coffee place for all you early-risers, unless you plan to have it for lunch, in that case we don’t judge because we absolutely love brunches! As the name suggests, its located at Gat Lebuh Macallum, just along the Jelutong Expressway. Many would probably have notice this black building with solar panels newly built beside the temple. It’s strategically located in the heart of Penang a few hundred metres away from Komtar, Penang.
Limited tummies equates to short post and few food pictures but hey quality>quantity right? Good bagels are hard to come by in this small island we call home so we took a turkey bacon bagel, slice of cake and COFFEE OF COURSE.
Of all our cafe expeditions and travels for food, Penang still firmly holds the #1 spot for us. Certain local fares like Asam Laksa may take an acquired taste to appreciate them, but out of all our efforts to bring our foreign friends for Cuti-cuti Penang, most of them enjoyed food here. With all the RM3 hokkien mee and wanton mee around, it is crucial to stay competitive in terms of pricing.
Yella Fork Cafe recently opened at Jalan Chow Thye, along with some new eateries which we featured previously (Basement Six). Don’t worry we will not bore you with yet another cafe that serves regular eggs ben or breakfast platters. It is a cafe that serves fusion-Australian dishes to offer you a little something that is slightly different from the usual brunches which most cafes are already serving anyway. Another catch which appeals to our thrifty Penangite side being the pricing of the dishes set on the lower end, which is bound to attract a good number of patrons looking for affordable good food.
