It’s ONE MORE MONTH to CHRISTMAS! Jingle Bells Jingle Bell! As the school bell rings, it marks the beginning of SCHOOL HOLIDAYS! The shopping malls and restaurants are busier than usual. People from near and far flooding Penang just to savour the good hawker foods and visit the heritage cafes. We stumbled on another new spot (not so new to Penangites) to check out. Coffee Affairs served freshly roast specialty coffee beans from different countries and delicious assorted pastries. The cafe offers brewing classes and purchase of brewing equipment.
Drop by Old Chow Thye at Chow Thye Road for their Nyonya dishes. The cafe is situated at Chow Thye Road along with restaurants like The Little Wine Bar, Harvest Inn, and Isaribi beside Burma road. Over the years, the Burma road has bloom into a strategic locations with concept restaurants serving eateries and desserts. Not forgetting the famous Him Heang biscuits and Green House Hokkien Mee. Old Chow Thye becomes an addition to the hustle bustle of the area serving the locals’ favourite dishes at a reasonable price. A choice of spicy Assam Pedas, Nyonya Curry Chicken or a milder preference would be the Tu Kar Chor, Tau Eu Bak and Herbal Chicken to choose from.
