Miam Miam Restaurant located at one of the most strategic places in Gurney Paragon, beside Ben’s and nearby Pacific Coffee. This french japanese restaurant is known for their famous French Toast served in a unique metal-like bowl with whipped cream and maple syrup to go together. Our wait didn’t go in vain, eventhough it was 11am in the morning, very little guests, it still took about 20-30 mins for them to served this dish. Despite the price and wait time, the food definitely deserve a thumbs up. The menu choices are pretty limited too, but easy to read. If you can’t imagine the outcome, the picture says it all. Another MUST TRY in their list is the souffle. It is also in our to try list, when we have the opportunity to come back.
Famous French Toast (RM16.80)
A MUST TRY! Portion is just nice for two. With a scoop of their home-made whipped cream and a touch of the sweet maple syrup, it just sums up the best tip for french toast. For a bowl of 9-10 slice of bread, it cost us RM16.80, It might be slightly abit pricey, however it will definitely be worth the money. I was rather hesitant to try at first. NO REGRETS. I love the texture of the bread. It is crunchy on the outside, freshly made, served and the inside is fluffy and tasty. With a slight pinch of powdered sugar and maple syrup, it just melts my heart when i take my first bite. Such an easy dish to make on our own, but it can be so uniquely made and served in Miam Miam.
Miam Miam Spaghetti (RM24.80)
We came upon the second recommended dish, the signature Miam Miam Spaghetti. A two person portion of pasta with shimeiji mushrooms, eggplant, sausage, slices of bacons and a finale touch with a half poached onsen egg. On its own, the spaghetti is slightly salty, but it taste better when you mix the onsen egg together. It gives a great after taste with the egg melting in you throat. Bacon, might be the cause of the saltiness, but the bacon also enhance the taste and it is nicely cooked, not too burnt nor too raw.
Root Beer Float (RM7.80)
The unique theme and choice of colours for their restaurant, made it more vibrant and fun especially for kids. A perfect ambience made for hang outs and reunions. They have both indoors and outdoors seatings. You won’t complain about being hot, as their blast the aircon full force eventhough you are seating outside. We are greeted by the friendly waitress who carefully attend to our needs from time to time. The only draw back is that the price is abit on the high side.
Overall, it was a great experience and refreshing morning to start 2014 Stay tune!
